Five Star Shangri-La Hotel at the “Shard of Glass” London Bridge [Published April 2012]
The first European hotel for leading luxury hotel group, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, will open at the “Shard of Glass,” as London Bridge Tower has become known in late 2012. The deluxe, 195-room Shangri-La, will occupy floors 34 to 52 (18 floors in total).
The building, designed by internationally acclaimed architect, Renzo Piano, the distinctive London Bridge Tower is situated on the South Bank of the Thames River diagonally opposite the Tower of London. It is projected to be the tallest building in Europe at 310 metres and will form a key landmark within the city’s sky-line.
HCE will be supplying and installing all of the Food and beverage facilities which will include a specialty restaurant, lobby lounge and bar. Particular features will include a number of Williams front-of-house ‘Bespoke’ refrigerated showcases and a champagne display feature, all specially manufactured and imported from Hong-Kong.
